Guidelines For The Women Employee
|

- Try to avoid isolated bus stops.
- Before getting into the car, look inside first to make sure no
unfamiliar face is in the vehicle.
- If the driver is unknown check his identity card.
- Sit near other women.
- Use distress / panic button in Call Centre Vehicles.
- Women employees should have self-defence training.

Women employees can carry pepper spray.
- Always keep the important phone numbers handy e.g.
Police, employer, any relative or friend located nearest to the route.
- Don’t give lift to unknown persons.
- Don’t take short cuts or new / unknown routes.
- Ensure no black films / tinted glass on cabs.
- In case of an emergency, run to the nearest residence or business place.
- Attempt to determine points of identification such as clothing, glasses, scars, hair colour and height. Call the police immediately.

| Guidelines To Call Centre Drivers
|
|
- Don’t leave the dropping point before the employee enters into his/her accommodation.
- Ensure distinct painting of name of Call Centre / BPO on the ferrying vehicles..
- Avoid over speeding / negligent driving.
- Avoid Drinking at the time of duty.
- Wear uniforms and carry identity cards all the time.
- Telephone numbers are pasted at cab’s windshields and any negligent act can be harmful to you.

Always carry Mobile or WT set for communication.
- Always keep the important phone numbers handy e.g. Police, employer, any colleagues located nearest to the route.
- Don’t give lift to unknown persons.
- Don’t take short cuts or new / unknown routes.

Guidelines To Call Centres & BPOs
|
- Insist drivers and other staff to submit their identity proof, photocopy of driving license and educational certificates.
- Replacement of drivers should not be done frequently; if done that should be a known face.
- Breath Analysers should be installed at security gates so that entry of drunken persons can be banned in the premises.
- Instruct drivers not to leave the dropping point before the employee enters into his / her accommodation.
- Issue electronic Identity Cards to the drivers and install access control systems at the entry and exit points.
- Distinct Painting of name of Call Centre / BPO on the ferrying vehicles.

Emergency number should be published on each identity card so that company can be informed in case of any untoward incident.
- GPS based on line tracking system and Speed Governors in cabs.
- Installation of distress/ panic button in Call Centre Vehicles.
- The estimation of the traveling time of the employees from their residence to company or vice-versa should be done on realistic basis, so as to avoid over speeding / negligent driving.
- Instruct drivers to wear uniforms and carry identity cards all the time.
- Ensure that no driver has any criminal records. Get the antecedents verified through local police, and there should be re- verification on periodical basis.
- Prepare a database of all the drivers and blacklisted drivers.
- Paste on fluorescent paper telephone numbers at cab’s windshields, so that any one can complaint about the rash and negligent driving incident.
- Women employee should not be picked up first or dropped last.
- The driver must always carry mobile or WT set for communication.
- Conduct surprise checking to ensure security measures are being adhered to by drivers / passengers.
- No black films/ tinted glass on cabs.
- Display Emergency Number inside the cab prominently in bold.
